Communications of Hossein and Bill (Reply to Bill, April 2, 2026)

April 2, 2026

Dear Bill,

I was very happy to receive your letter.

Our Nowruz holidays have come to an end, and work will resume in a few days. However, as I mentioned before, all activities are carried out virtually—though through the domestic internet.

I was very pleased to hear that our article has been well received. In my view, the unique integration of medication with psychosocial and spiritual support is like a miracle—and this miracle has been made possible through the power of the DST method and OT medication.

Friends and colleagues who wish to understand this great secret must read the book Crossing the Zone Under 60 Degrees Below Zero in order to truly understand what addiction is and how treatment should be carried out. Because in my opinion, all treatment methods—even those labeled as “scientific”—must be evaluated to determine whether they are truly effective or not.

The point is that until the DST method and the Congress 60 approach were introduced, the so-called scientific methods dominated the field. But with the emergence of the DST method—and the successful, definitive treatment of over one hundred thousand individuals over nearly 28 years—the situation has changed. Now, it is you who, with careful and wise thinking, are comparing the Congress 60 method with other methods in the United States. I sincerely thank you for your efforts on behalf of myself, my family, and all members of Congress 60.

Now, in response to your questions:

First question:

Yes, every position in Congress 60 must have a successor. For example, in any session where the guardian is responsible, if they are absent, the secretary immediately takes their place.

Currently, the successor to the leader of Congress 60, Mr. Hossein Dezhakam, is Mr. Amin Dezhakam. He is recognized everywhere as the successor to the founder of Congress 60. He holds a PhD in cosmology and is a professor of worldview studies. He also has a history of opium addiction. He has been approved by the 14-member council. Additionally, he is responsible for the music group, tree-planting initiatives, camps, and many other activities, including serving as a Didehban (overseer).

Second question:

Our relationship with NA leaders and managers is very good and friendly, and we always support each other. Congress 60 believes in complete recovery, whereas NA does not. Hundreds of individuals from NA—with around 20 years of sobriety—have come and continue to come to Congress 60 to achieve permanent recovery. In NA, they believe that even if a person does not use substances for many years, they are still considered an addict.

With all due respect, I must say that NA does not offer treatment; rather, it functions more like a quarantine and emphasizes “just for today,” whereas Congress 60 says “forever.” Therefore, the method and ultimate goal of Congress 60 differ from those of NA.

In my opinion, Congress 60 is the second chapter of NA. I myself spent one year in NA after my recovery. Therefore, NA cannot serve as a complementary method for us, but Congress 60 can effectively help their members—especially long-term members with extended sobriety. We usually invite such individuals to first attend Congress 60 as guests, and if they wish, to begin their treatment journey from zero.
Another important point is that in the field of addiction treatment, the scientific community often believes that addiction is incurable. Many individuals struggling with addiction also believe it is like a genie that has escaped from a lamp and cannot be returned. In Congress 60, we have returned tens of thousands of these “genies” back into the lamp.

Wishing you continued health,

Your friend and brother on Earth and in Heaven,
Hossein
