An Interview with Mr. Amin Dezhakam, the Dideban of Worldview

Curing addiction is not merely reducing the dosage of the substance by one-fifth at a time.

An Interview with Mr. Amin Dezhakam, the Dideban of Worldview

Maybe one of the greatest reasons for human beings’ failures in their relationships with one another, as well as their setbacks in life, is the lack of understanding of themselves and the world around them. In Congress 60, through the efforts of Mr. Amin Dezhakam, an opportunity has been provided for us to gain this understanding through his teachings of worldview, allowing us to reduce our own suffering and that of those around us.
Today, we had the opportunity to speak with Mr. Amin Dezhakam, Congress 60’s Dideban (Watchman) and Worldview Master of Congress 60. We invite you to read this insightful and inspiring interview.
Interviewer: Hello, Master Amin, we appreciate the time you have given us for this interview, when did you decide to incorporate the subject of worldview into the treatment process in Congress 60? Did you have prior studies or background in this field before the establishment of Congress 60, or was it Congress 60 itself that guided you in this direction?
There were always books in our home, and discussions about mysticism were constantly taking place. Since Mr. Dezhakam was a curious and inquisitive person who always sought different answers, he would buy every new book that entered the market. Because of this, I also became an avid reader. Conversations about anthropology, sociology, Ism-e-Azam (اسم اعظم or the Great Name), the Shahnameh, and Molana were always alive in our home. These subjects were fascinating to Mr. Dezhakam, and naturally, he would share them with us, making them enjoyable for us as well.

One of the reasons I entered the field of worldview was exactly this environment. Another reason was my lifelong curiosity about Ism-e-Azam: the idea that whoever knows Ism-e-Azam (اسم اعظم) can have any wish fulfilled and gains a kind of magical power. These topics were captivating to me during my childhood and adolescence.

Another factor was that, during my teenage years, I began searching within myself for the causes of my own pains and struggles. Feelings of isolation, restlessness, and hopelessness were overflowing inside me, and I was looking for answers that could help me reach some form of peace. This inner turmoil motivated me to search for the answers to a series of fundamental questions.

When Mr. Dezhakan began his own recovery journey, he also brought the knowledge of anthropology into our family. The combination of these influences led me toward learning worldview. When Mr. Dezhakam discovered the [DST] method to cure addiction in 1997, he also brought the knowledge of anthropology into our household, and this knowledge gave me the keys I needed to find answers to many of my questions.
Was the Worldview booklet added to the treatment process upon Mr. Dezhakam’s recommendation? To what extent did you receive guidance from him in compiling this booklet?
The points presented in the Worldview booklet are rooted in the book Crossing the Zone 60 Degrees Below Zero. The knowledge that Mr. Dezhakam discovered was passed on to us. Aside from the DST method, which he developed for curing addiction, I believe that the true method he used was Worldview itself. In my opinion, these two complete one another.

From 1997 to 1999, before the publication of Crossing the Zone 60 Degrees below Zero, Mr. Dezhakam was constantly thinking about how he could transfer this knowledge to the world. For nearly two years, this was his main concern. He realized how profoundly understanding the human being could influence the treatment of addiction. Curing addiction is not merely reducing the dosage of the substance by one-fifth at a time.

In 2000, when Congress 60 had just been established and the initial core had formed, Mr. Dezhakam introduced the subject of Worldview for the first time on the fourth floor of the Academy building, and I was present in that meeting. In that session, he stated that the main factor in addiction treatment is worldview. During the same meeting, he asked me to speak to the members about worldview, because in our family, starting in 1997, we held gatherings every few weeks with a few friends under the title “Understanding the Human Being.” I had some background in this area, and that is where the foundation of my worldview education began to take shape.

During those sessions, Mr. Dezhakam recognized my interest in worldview and, encouraged me and prepared me the opportunity to work in this field. The first time I taught worldview in Congress 60 was in 2000. The meeting was held in this way, Mr. Dezhakam would explain the first part of a topic and then ask me to present the second part. That was the true beginning of worldview within Congress 60.

One year later, the legions were established, and in 2003 I began writing the Worldview pamphlets. The writing of the pamphlets was a distilled summary of what I had learned over those years about understanding the human being, along with the personal challenges I faced during my university years. I had difficulties at university that I couldn’t resolve, and worldview helped me overcome those challenges and complete my studies.
Master Amin, one of the goals of Congress 60 is global expansion. How can we convey the teachings of worldview, whose foundations are largely derived from the Holy Qur’an, to people around the world?
When you look at any religion, each one has its own rituals and specific teachings. For example, in Islam, practices such as Hajj and fasting are fundamental principles. In Christianity, there are rituals such as the Eucharist and baptism. These are religious rites, and every faith has its own.
The concepts presented in Congress 60 follow the path of universal wisdom and align with principles that humanity collectively agrees upon. The teachings shared in Congress 60 are not related to the ritualistic aspects of our own religion. Many of the lessons we teach are found in our Holy Book, and they may also appear in the scriptures of other religions, yet they are not part of ritual practice.
For this reason, these teachings do not create resistance in people. Everything discussed in the worldview of Congress 60 is in harmony with Universal Reason [Universal Wisdom]; therefore, its acceptance does not pose a problem.
The most important aspect of worldview is putting it into practice. As a Worldview Master, to what extent have you applied it in your own life? In your opinion, what is the best way to make the teachings of worldview truly practical?
I truly live with worldview. It is always present in my life. At this point, I am no longer attached to it with bias, although in the past I approached worldview with a kind of rigidity. Whenever I encounter a challenge in my life, I turn to worldview to resolve it.

For example, I have experienced many emotional and affectional crises, such as the complex of love. I look for the worldview of the complex of love, and gradually the emotional crisis starts to fade. In a sense, it works like medicine, although finding the right path is difficult for me. Sometimes discovering that path may take a year or even two. This is how worldview has taken shape for me: by confronting numerous problems and finding solutions for them.
Master Amin, please share your opinion with us regarding the book “Crossing the Zone 60 Degrees Below Zero.”
This book is our identity. The moment Crossing the Zone 60 Degrees Below Zero is removed from the educational structure of Congress 60 is the moment Congress 60 has drifted off its own track. This book conveys a feeling to the reader that is vital for curing addiction.
Define Congress 60 for us in one sentence.
Congress 60 has initiated a beginning whose end is not in our hands. Through Congress 60, God completed His blessings for us, and we must be grateful for this grace.
