بسیار خوشحالم که می‌شنوم که شما هم خوب هستید. بازیابی من از روند درمان قلبی ادامه دارد و من انرژی و انگیزه جدید برای همکاری‌هایمان احساس می‌کنم. هر دوی ما با چالش‌های جدی درمانی مواجه شده‌ایم و با فروتنی و سپاس و فوریت جدید درباره هدف مشترکمان از آن‌ها عبور کرده‌ایم.
ممنونم که نتایج آخرین تحقیقاتی را که در همکاری با دانشگاه بریستول انجام می‌دهید با من به اشتراک گذاشتید. اگر مقالات را همان‌طور که منتشر می‌شوند، به من ایمیل کنید، من خوشحال می‌شوم که آن‌ها را با محققان تحقیقاتی و پزشکان در ایالات‌متحده و سایر کشورها به اشتراک بگذارم. خوشبختانه، پیشرفت‌های تکنولوژی پزشکی، انجام چنین تحقیقاتی را امکان‌پذیر کرده است.

من اصلاحاتی که در پیش‌نویس کتاب درخواست شده بود را انجام داده‌ام و یک فایل PDF نهایی ایجاد کرده‌ام که می‌توانیم آن را در وب‌سایت من منتشر کنیم.
به من بگویید کی می‌خواهید این کار را انجام دهیم. می‌توانیم در حال حاضر این کار را انجام دهیم یا منتظر بمانیم و آن را در همان زمانی که نسخه فارسی / انگلیسی کتاب در ایران منتشر می‌شود منتشر کنیم.

پس از انتشار کتاب، یک اعلامیه آماده خواهم کرد که به سازمان‌های درمان اعتیاد و متخصصان درمان اعتیاد در آمریکا و سایر کشورها ارسال خواهد شد. فکر می‌کنم انتشار این کتاب باعث جرقه‌ای دوباره شود تا علاقه به متدهای کنگره ۶۰ و دیگر نوشته‌های شما تجدید شود.
یکی از موضوعاتی که در این کتاب مورد بررسی قرار گرفته، اهمیت استقلال مالی و پایداری سازمان‌های جامعه ریکاوری است. در آمریکا، برخی سازمان‌ها با پول خارجی که فلسفه و روش‌هایشان را تغییر داده است، درگیر شده‌اند. پس از چندین سال، مأموریت بنیادین آن‌ها قابل‌تشخیص نیست و بیشتر تمرکز بر برطرف کردن نیازهای مالی خارجی است تا ارائه خدمات پشتیبانی ریکاوری.
شما در محافظت از مأموریت کنگره ۶۰ در برابر این نوع از آسیب‌ها بسیار خردمند بوده‌اید.
پول برای حمایت از کاری که انجام می‌دهیم، مهم است، اما همان‌طور که شما مشخص کرده‌اید، باید از گرفتن پولی که سرود ما را تغییر می‌دهد، خودداری کنیم.

Dear Hossein,
I am pleased to hear that you are doing fine; my recovery from the heart procedures is continuing and I am feeling renewed energy and commitment to our continued collaborations. We have both faced serious health challenges and transcended them with renewed humility and gratitude and a renewed urgency regarding our shared cause.
I appreciate your sharing the results of the latest research you are doing in collaboration with Bristol University. If you email me the articles as they are published, I will be happy to share them with research scientists and medical practitioners in the U.S. and in other countries. It is fortunate that breakthroughs in medical technology now make such research possible.
Do send along photos of the shawl ceremony for the newcomers co-guides. I find these image very inspiring. They convey far more than words the vitality of Congress 60’s culture of recovery.
I have made the corrections to the book draft that you requested and have created a final PDF that we can post on my website. Let me know when you would like that done. We can do it now or we can wait and post it at the same time the Farsi/English version of the book is released in Iran. Just let me know your preference. Once I have posted the book, I will prepare an announcement that will go our to various addiction treatment organizations and addiction professionals in the U.S. and in other countries. I think the release of this book will spark renewed international interest in the methods of Congress 60 and in your other writings.
One of the areas addressed in this book is the importance of financial independence and sustainability of recovery community organizations. In the U.S., some organizations have taken outside money that has altered their philosophy and methods. After some years, their founding missions is no longer recognizable and there is more focus on catering to outside financial interests than on the delivery of recovery support services. You have been very wise in protecting Congress 60 from such potential mission corruption. Money is important to sustain the work we are doing, but as you note we must avoid taking money that changes the song we sing.
In your next communication, please let me know the progress on the university construction. Is there a projected date of completion of the construction?
