گزارش کوتاهی از پانل
بیل عزیز
بیل عزیز امیدوارم خوب باشید، من خوب هستم.
کنگره بین المللی دانش اعتیاد به پایان رسید، برای پانل ما که مربوط به بازنگری به اعتیاد از نظر نوروبیولوژیک بود، به خوبی انجام گرفت و استقبال خیلی خوبی که از این پانل شد را می‌توانید در فیلم‌های ارسالی که فرستاده‌ام مشاهده کنید؛ گرچه تمامی سخنان سخنرانان به زبان فارسی است ولی شما با تماشای این ویدیوها می‌توانید آنچه در این پانل گذشت را حس کنید، سالن مملو از جمعیت بود و عده زیادی پشت درهای سالن اصلی ایستاده بودند، سخنرانی شما که توسط شانی انجام شد بسیار مورد استقبال قرار گرفت و حتی در پایان صحبت‌های شما، شانی با بغضی که کرده بود چندین ثانیه سکوت کرد تا جلوی گریه خود را بگیرد.
پانل بسیار خوبی بود، البته متن سخنرانی من هم که تقریباً مقداری از آن را در کنگره بوستون ارائه کرده بودم، در آینده می‌توانید در آن کنگره سخنان من را که توسط دکتر آروین ترجمه شده بود را بشنوید؛ البته تاریخ آن را بعداً خواهم گفت ولی خلاصه صحبت‌های من هم اکنون در سایت این کنگره موجود است.
این پانل موضوعی بود که درمان اعتیاد از نظر نوروبیولوژیک را کاملاً به چالش کشید، البته با دلایل علمی و مقالاتی که چاپ شده بود و یا اکسپت شده است، البته لازم است بگویم تحقیقات مصرف و درمان مصرف آمفتامین را روی حدود ۷۰ موش رت به انجام رساندیم که با موفقیت انجام شد، البته مقاله آن اکسپت شده و به زودی چاپ خواهد شد.
در ضمن جوایز انتشارات دژاکام هم به برترین مقالات از نفر اول تا پنجم داده شد، البته پول جوایز از فروش کتاب‌های من بوده که به طور کلی سالیانه از مجموع کتاب‌های من (۶ کتاب) حدود ۸۰ هزار تا ۱۰۰ هزار جلد به فروش می‌رسد و من از هر کتاب فقط یک دلار درآمد دارم که در کل، مبلغ خوبی می‌شود که بیشتر آن را صرف تحقیقات و یا جوایز و یا کمک به تحقیقات می‌کنم، در پایان بایستی بگویم که مطالب سخنرانی شما بسیار جالب بود و مورد استقبال قرار گرفت، و باز هم تکرار می‌کنم اگر فیلم‌ها را نگاه کنید می‌توانید اهمیت مقالات و سخنرانی‌های این پانل بی‌نظیر را کاملاً حس کنید با پوزش از کوتاه بودن نامه فعلاً خداحافظی می‌کنم.

A Brief Report on the Panel
Dear Bill,
I hope you are well. I am doing fine.
The International Congress on Addiction Science has concluded. Our panel, which focused on re-examining addiction from a neurobiological perspective, went very well and was met with great enthusiasm. You can see this reception in the videos I sent you. Although all the presentations were in Farsi, by watching the videos you can sense the atmosphere and what took place during the panel. The hall was packed, and many people were standing outside the main doors.
Your talk, delivered by Shani, was very well received. At the end of your remarks, Shani was so moved that she paused for several seconds to hold back tears.
It was an excellent panel. Part of my own talk had also been presented earlier at the Boston congress, where two papers were submitted. In the future, you will be able to hear my talk there as well, which was translated by Dr. Arvin. I will let you know the exact date later, but the summary of my presentation is already available on the congress website.
This panel thoroughly challenged the neurobiological approach to addiction treatment, relying on scientific evidence and studies that were either published or already accepted. I should mention that we conducted research on amphetamine use with about 70 rats, as well as their treatment, which was successfully carried out. The article has been accepted and will soon be published.
In addition, the Dezhakam Publishing Awards were presented to the top five papers. The prize money came from the sales of my books. Altogether, I have six books, and about 80,000 to 100,000 copies are sold annually. I only earn one dollar per book, which amounts to a good sum overall, and most of it I dedicate to research, prizes, or supporting new studies.
In closing, I must emphasize again that your lecture was very interesting and warmly received. I repeat that if you watch the videos, you will fully sense the importance of the papers and presentations delivered in this unique panel.
