یک سال دیگر را می‌بندیم و فصل دیگری در دوستی و همکاری‌هایمان آغاز می‌کنیم.

به نظر می‌رسد که روابط ما در چشم طوفان قرار گرفته است (اصطلاحی برای اشاره به در میان شرایط سخت بودن_ مترجم) درحالی‌که وارد سال سوم پاندمیک کویید می‌شویم و دوباره موارد ابتلا و بستری روزانه رو به افزایش است.

داخل آن حباب همکاری‌هایمان ما به تلاش‌های درمانی خود علی‌رغم آشفتگی در جهان اطرافمان ادامه می‌دهیم.

من از تعداد لژیون‌های ویلیام وایت که گزارش کردید و تعداد زندگی‌های که از طریق همکاری‌هایمان تحت تأثیر قرار داده‌ایم در حیرت هستم.

شاید بتوانیم یک مقاله برای به‌روزرسانی درباره قطع سیگار در کنگره ۶۰ در سال جاری انجام دهیم.

این چه دستاورد فوق‌العاده‌ای است.

سیاست‌های سیگار در برنامه‌های درمانی اعتیاد آمریکا همچنان مورد بحث است چراکه بسیاری درباره اهمیت قطع سیگار در ریکاوری از اعتیاد صحبت می‌کنند و دیگران نیز می‌گویند تمرکز بر این مسئله باعث می‌شود تا افراد از ادامه درمان منصرف شوند.

مطالب بسیاری است که کشورم می‌تواند دراین‌باره از تجربیات کنگره ۶۰ بیاموزد.

حتماً مرا در جریان پیشرفت ارائه‌ها در کنفرانس‌ها و پیشرفت آزمایشگاه قرار دهید.

این تلاش‌ها باعث خواهد شد که تأثیر کار شما و تأثیر آن بر درمان اعتیاد در جهان گسترده شود. امیدوارم که کار آزمایشگاهی باعث شود تا مکانیزم متد دی اس تی که چگونه درمان را و بازسازی را انجام می‌دهد برای همگان مشخص شود.

در قیاس با متدهای دیگر که مصرف داروی روزانه به‌صورت همیشگی را در برنامه خود دارند متد دی اس تی به نظر می‌رسد که یک نوع ریست کردن یا دوباره راه‌اندازی کردن از سیستم ایکس را انجام می‌دهد که مغز را به حالت نرمال باز می‌گرداند یعنی از بیماری‌های مربوط به مواد، وسوسه، تمایل شدید به مصرف و عادت‌های جستجوی مواد خودسرانه که نشانه‌های اعتیاد هستند آزاد می‌کند. شما از طریق آزمایشگاه می‌توانید مکانیزم به وجود آمدن این درمان را دقیقاً پیدا کنید.

این یک خدمت عظیم به حوزه علم اعتیاد، درمان و ریکاوری است.

Dear Hossein,

We close another year and begin another chapter in our friendship and collaborations. It seems as if our relationship rests within the eye of a storm as we enter the third year of the COVID-19 pandemic and with new daily cases and hospitalizations again on the rise. Within that bubble of our joint work, we continue our healing efforts in spite of the turmoil in the world around us.

I am in awe of the number of William White legions you report and the number of lives touched through our joint efforts. Perhaps we can co-author an update this coming year on smoking cessation within Congress 60.   What a remarkable achievement that is. Smoking policies within addiction treatment programs in the U.S. continue to be quite controversial with many arguing the importance of smoking cessation in addiction recovery and others arguing that emphasizing this will dissuade people from seeking treatment. There is much that my country can learn from the experiences of Congress 60 on this subject.

Do keep me updates on the progress of your conference presentations and the progress on creation of your laboratory. These efforts will expand the influence of your work and its influence on addiction treatment around the world. My hope is that your laboratory work will be able to unravel the mechanism through which the DST method does its reparative work. In contrast to other methods that require perpetual daily administration, the DST method once completed seems to provide a “rebooting” or “resetting” of the X system in ways that provide a release to brain normality—free from the dope sickness, cravings, obsessions, and compulsive drug-seeking that are the hallmarks of addiction. What you are seeking in your laboratory is the mechanisms through which that healing occurs. That would be an enormous contribution the science of addiction and the science of addiction treatment and recovery.

Rita and I are doing well. We are again isolating ourselves as much as possible given the rapid spread of COVID-19 in Florida. In recent days, there were more than 30,000 new cases a day in Florida, although the omicron variant does not appear to have the symptom severity and level of lethality that early variations had. I hope you, your family, and all members of Congress 60 remain protected from this latest COVID surge.
