Dear Hossein,
Thank you for the information on cancer, its relationship to the X system, and the use of the DST method as a potential cancer treatment. The report that you sent was quite thorough and informative.
It is interesting to me that the DST method would address cancer not by directly attacking cancer cells but in strengthening the X system and the body’s own ability to fight the invading cancer cells. Do keep me posted on your continued research in this area. I find it quite fascinating and, of course, of great interest given Alisha’s current cancer treatment. She is presently undergoing a mix of immunotherapy and chemotherapy and is handling the side effects quite well. It is very hard to have someone so close to you going through such a threat to their life. Rita and I were pleased that we were able to travel to Illinois to provide what love and support we could to help Alisha and her husband get through this. Alisha has continued to teach at the university through all of this which is quite an achievement.
A major recovery advocacy conference is being held this week in the U.S. It was planned as an in-person meeting but was switched to virtual format due to the recent surge in COVID cases. I’ve been listening to some of the sessions and they are quite inspiring. It feels like my generation is passing a recovery advocacy torch to a younger generation of recovery activists. I find their level of passion and their innovative ideas quite inspiring. I rest easy knowing these younger people will be continuing the recovery advocacy work long after my generation has left the stage. I suspect you feel the same as you see your planned recovery university rise from the ground.
I hope to return to my work on the latest Congress 60 blog next week. Thank you again for the additional information you provided me. I will let you know if I have further questions related to the use of Guides, Co-Guides, and other peer recovery support roles in Congress 60..
Friends and Brothers Forever,
Bill
