I hope you are well. I am fine. You are the international Watchman of Congress 60, and it is my obligation to congratulate you on the Didehban's week. A few days ago, at the Watchmen ceremony, all watchmen of Congress 60 mentioned your name and thanked you for all your efforts. Everything at Congress 60 is occurring so fast that I can't keep up with sharing all of them! One week in every year is the Didehban or Watchmen week. During this week, all fourteen Watchmen must start traveling to our branches all over Iran and talk about the structure of Congress 60, Watchmen, and their responsibilities with members. Each Watchman is assigned 8 or 9 branches to visit. Members of Congress 60 must appreciate them by presenting an envelope with money inside. All Watchmen cover the expenses of travels themselves, so the envelopes of appreciation can help them cover the costs.
This week, newcomers will get to know the lawmakers and learn how Congress 60 is administrated. We are independent; to remain independent, we don't accept any financial support from outside our community. I will share photos of our four buildings soon. About the shared/coordinating meetings:
Our weekly meetings are whether private or public. In the private one, only travelers can participate (men and women travelers have separate sessions); in the public one, co-travelers (men/women) can join travelers. Women co-travelers have one meeting during the week/private. Men co-travelers have one meeting during the week/private. Women travelers are isolated and have no connections with men travelers/co-travelers. We have isolated them so they can have a safe/without stigma environment to nourish their treatment. Their identity is safer with this method. You mentioned virtual conferences; we can also have ours virtually. You can decide on that. I would like this conference to be about answering unanswered questions and clarifying the addiction treatment process based on those answers. Having the conference virtually will help us to avoid political and logistic barriers.
Our communication has been published virtually, and since our debates are only scientific, we managed to avoid issues. Anyway, you can make that decision. Writing a book in which each chapter is covered by one person is a great idea. I think we need to specify the publisher beforehand. You can also decide on this subject since you are the international Watchman of Congress 60.
As you suggested, we prioritized fentanyl. Dr. Arvin ordered fentanyl from Chemistry University in Iran, and the ethics committee approved our research. If I knew Dr. Kelly, chief of addiction studies at Harvard, was going to have a conference in the spring, I would have tried my best to participate and speak about using the DST method with the DOD triangle on amphetamine-exposed mice, the effects of amphetamine on the X system and also the comparison between the DST method and other addiction treatment methods.
Dear Bill,
Using the most advanced gene expression and molecular equipment, we were able to find the effects of addiction on our bodies in profound detail. The results will be out soon. I am sharing two photos showing Watchmen/Didehbans of Congress 60.
