The sixth session of 58th round of the Academy Branch Workshops was held on February 20, 2017 at 11:30 PM, this meeting was held by Mr. Dezhakam as the master and Mr. Mahdi as the secretary and the weekly agenda was “The Difference between an Addict' and Traveler's Viewpoint ”
Today's agenda is difference between an addict' and traveler's viewpoint. I have told you many times that the Lord's work is like doing magic: when you go through fire, you will emerge from garden and when you go through a garden, you will emerge from fire. Some careers seem difficult to do; however, as you do them, you will reach salvation and vice versa. For instance, if you lift somebody's property, you feel very pleased first, it is like being in a garden, however, after some time, everything will change and your situation becomes very bad and you will lose everything.
Addiction is a great concern. And many families are grappling with it. Those who did not hide their problem, came and became liberated. They not only saved their face, but also changed to trustworthy people. They gained much. Many people referred to them seeking for help (the way to get liberated from addiction, a way to help their addicted son, daughter or a family member). You can hide your problem but remember that if I had hidden this issue (my addiction and treatment); none of these events would have taken place. Did I lose my face? Therefore, this is one of them main difference between an addict and a traveler. A traveler is traveling from anger to kindness, from illness to health, from dark to light, and from humility to pride. We pass such a path, therefore, we are not addict. One of the basic differences between an addict and a traveler is that a traveler does not fear to introduce himself as a traveler. At the beginning of the travel, some may fear of introducing themselves; however, after a while they introduce themselves fearlessly. Some people may hide their addiction for the sake of their job or face, put them aside. But a traveler does not hide his/her addiction. Congress60's members attended in the live shows on TV. They participated in the round-table talks. Because only an addict has to hide his addiction, including those who experience addiction withdrawal. Because they do not know whether they can continue without drugs one day more. But a traveler is not fearful. A traveler is an active person. S/he knows their starting point, their goal and their destination. An addict says that the only thing I want is to stop smoking, this is their goal; however, a traveler does not think so. A traveler knows their starting point. On the first day, I have to talk a lot so that they can realize the starting point. The starting point for a traveler is the imbalance of neurotransmitters and destruction of their X system. Their goal is to get liberated from addiction and their destination is to balance their neurotransmitters and the X system. All of these are known to a traveler. However, an addict is unaware of these points. All the patients must know their starting point, destination and goal. A traveler is person who has got up and is aware (of what happening around him). S/he is always trying to develop everything, to increase their knowledge and respect for others. S/he is always trying to complete themselves. A traveler is the one who puts an end to their drug consumption using DST method. A traveler is a person that will be surprised if someone tells him/her: you were an addict once upon a time. S/he will laugh if someone tells them you were an addict, just like a drunkard, when after sobriety; s/he is told that you have done something wrong as you were drunk, and s/he never accepts.
I have told you several times that when a traveler gets liberated from addiction, they will choose their job over serving in Congress60. This is another difference between an addict and a traveler. A traveler will choose their family over Congress60. A traveler will choose his addict wife over Congress60. In Congress60, we want people to get married and have a family. Before us, those who were addict hid their faces when they wanted to be on the TV screen. However, Congress60 did the job. Congress60's members dared to be on the TV screen, they bravely participated in the programs and said their words about addiction. A traveler tries to serve others. A traveler has two types of movements: an external and internal. But an addict has internal movement only. There are many differences between a traveler and a drug-consumer.
A traveler has a planned program. Everything is preplanned in his travel. In Congress60, this travel takes 10 months. This is not known for an addict nowhere. In other systems, the first thing they do is to stop smoking and then they start treatment. However, Congress60 does the treatment and then in the last step it cuts consumption. It is not a case in other systems. In these systems, as an addict stops smoking, s/he will suffer from insomnia and many other problems. A traveler will never experience these situations. S/he gets better and better. After two weeks of their presence in the legion, they will change and behave others completely differently from their entrance time. These were the difference between an addict and a traveler.
Another important point is that we have some foreign members in Congress60, most of whom are Afghans. We did our best to cooperate with them. You have to prepare prerequisites for their participation in the Guides' exam. It is very good if they come and learn the instructions so that they can continue Congress60's aims in Afghanistan. It is helpful for us to have Afghan or foreign guides.
On Thursday, we will have Arbor day's session. This camp's authorities, the watchers, Mr. Amin and Mr. Ashkezari will be present there.
