Education and expertise are two important factors for newcomers' co-guides.

Education and expertise are two important factors for newcomers' co-guides.

Master Dezhakam, the Guard of the human revivification society of congress 60, declared among the members accepted in the newcomers' co-guidance exam: "Newcomers' guidance is the most important and sensitive section in congress60 and these people (newcomers' guides) must have information, knowledge and expertise.”

The first ceremony of pact and shawl donation to newcomers' guides was held on Monday, January 20th in Academi branch in the presence of Master Dezhakam, the Guard of the human revivification society of congress 60, the Watcher of newcomers' guidance, the Watcher of the family group and 200 members accepted in this exam.

In this ceremony, Master Dezhakam mentioned:
“We have about 10000 people on OT (opium tincture) treatment project and I  think there isn’t this number of people on treating projects anywhere else. So this is a great job. Working on a human treating project is too hard and costly. Even in the US, they do such a project for up to five to seven people. We realized that people who want to talk with newcomers must be very knowledgeable and expert because a newcomer has distracted thoughts and no belief and faith as s/he tried any method (for getting rid of addiction) and has failed totally. Besides, his family members consider him selfish, stubborn and unreliable because of the wrong information they have received.

Therefore, newcomers' guidance is a very important and sensitive section that can reduce stress and anxiety in both narcotics abusers and their families and needs knowledge and expertise. Fortunately, in Congress 60 this process has been done and the guides know what they should say to newcomers.
In this ceremony, Mr. Ali Asshkezari, the watcher of newcomers' guides and Ms. Ani Kamandar, the watcher of the companions also explained some important issues.”

Mr. Ashkezari, pointing out that our job in the newcomers’ section is guidance, explained: “The method and the manner of consulting and guiding are different and we are not consultants at all. If we know the definition of the word (guidance) we will do the same way. In this section, we want to prepare a condition to facilitate the newcomers’ path so that they know what to do from the beginning and don’t think of their illness as a huge and unsolvable problem.”

Ms. Ani Kamandar, the watcher of the Companions, congratulating accepted audiences, wished them success and said:  “Newcomers' guides should pay attention that nothing is ordinary and usual. Our duty is to explain and clarify all the concepts of non-detoxification and narcotics substitution and other related content. Our view should be based on a sense of helping and serving people and don’t get into daily routine.

The ceremony ended with the shawl donation to the newcomers' co-guides by Master Dezhakam.
