Last Thursday the co-guide examination was held at 12 p.m. within more than 43 branches across Iran with more than 4500 participants.
Out of this number hopefully about 800 individuals will be accepted to serve as co-guides and another 500 individuals will be granted the new comers consultant position.
The competition to be accepted is so tense and exciting; some people even took one or two month time off from their jobs and studied 20 hours a day! It was like a world cup to them!
Perhaps this number of participants in such examinations is a record throughout history.
The success of Congress 60 is a proof that we have found the true treatment method and recovery.
You have asked about financial status. You mentioned that an NGO in the U.S. has declared bankruptcy after 80 years of activity, such a shame. You asked about how an NGO can sustain a good financial status in long term.
First of all, this NGO that you mentioned must receive an Oscar of endurance for the 80 years of service which is like a movie based on actual events!
About your question:
I believe the merchandise must be valuable so that business can take place! Otherwise, that merchandise will perish alongside with the owner in time.
Dear friend, during our 20 years of enduring friendship I have always spoken of one thing, and I shall repeat myself again.
All the treatment methods around the world are false! In fact, they haven’t found the correct approach to addiction treatment. Especially medical science and psychiatrists possess no beneficial knowledge regarding this matter. Therefore, recovery advocates are faced with close to impossible, because no one believes in certain treatment of addiction, and they have no solution for it.
If we are successful within Congress 60, it is only and only derived from our strong treatment method, although the world doesn’t believe in us yet!
That is why our members are ready to donate. We are always busy with buying new lands and building new structures as new branches. The necessary capital is being covered by members only.
Not only we are not confronted with any financial issues but also we are investing for our future generations.
The financial issues of NGOs will last unless they learn the proper treatment method which leads to certain healing of addicts.
Second, an NGO must be independent and strong in three aspects:
1. Related actual knowledge to achieve its goals.
2. Possessing the experts (trained manpower) in related field.
3. Having a strong financial status.
Third:
We have a proverb which says:
A cow that begs for food can’t plow! (I had to translate word by word- Ehsan)
In other words, an NGO which is always looking for handouts shall never sustain a good financial status.
About the financial legions:
I believe an NGO must be planned somehow to engage all members in related activities. It should not be up to few people to plan and execute everything.
That’s why all members of Congress 60 are active in a special group, and these groups are called legions. For instance: treatment legions, musical legions, tree planting legions, Marzban legions (I have not been able to find a proper translation for Marzban during these years and the next best thing is border guard-Ehsan), cleaning legions, cyber legions, and financial legions.
In each branch, those who are financially gifted (travelers or companions) can take part in financial legions with payment of at least 350$ annually. Their task will be to plan for receiving donations from members of that very branch. The members of each financial legion are 10 to 50 members for each branch.
The gathered donations will be allocated as below:
80 % of it will be allocated to the same branch and the rest will be sent to central office in Tehran (just like Federal system), and this 20% will be allocated to research or helping other branches.
As you can see, in our system it is not only up to me or few others to think about financial status. We have hundreds of other members whose job is to fix the budget of branches.
We have many members within Congress 60 with more than 15 years of recovery, they are mostly having a reasonable financial status and therefore they are helping Congress 60.
Each year one of our weekly agendas is financial legions.
In fact, during this unique week a celebration is ongoing within all branches. This celebration is just like auctions. Each member is called forth and they present a cheque for 100$ up to 3 or 4 thousands.
