چه اخبار فوق‌العاده‌ای که تعداد شعب به ۸۴ رسیده است و کارت‌های عضویت بیش از ۱۱۰ هزار شده است. این‌یک دستاورد عالی است که هدایایی ناگفتنی برای بسیاری از افراد در جستجوی ریکاوری از اعتیاد خواهد داشت.
همچنین نکته مهم این است که این رشد از کمک‌های مالی اعضایی حاصل آمده که زندگی‌شان در کنگره ۶۰ دگرگون شده است. عنوان جدید پهلوان (قهرمان) عنوان مناسبی است. برای جشن گل‌ریزان پیش رو بهترین‌ها را آرزو دارم.
لطفاً حتماً مقاله استفاده از متد DST  در درمان سرطان را برای من ارسال کنید. من این روزها تمامی تحقیقات سرطان را به خاطر سرطان سینه آلیشا از نزدیک دنبال می‌کنم.

هفته آینده بیستمین سالگرد "قله ریکاوری" است که در سینت پاوول مینه سوتا برگزارشده بود و نقطه شروع حرکت گروه‌های ریکاوری در ایالات‌متحده محسوب می‌شود. این مراسم به خاطر شرایط کوئید اجباراً به‌صورت مجازی برگزار خواهد شد و من یک نطق اصلی برای مراسم افتتاحیه آن آماده کرده‌ام.
همچنین به‌عنوان مشاور برای چند پروژه ریکاوری داوطلب شده‌ام. به‌جز این‌ها، تمامی توجه من متمرکز بر دخترم است که ببینم چگونه می‌توانم او را در برنامه درمان سرطان حمایت کنم.
خوشحالم که در مقابل کرونا کنگره ۶۰ شرایط خوبی دارد و اینکه اعضای کنگره از بدترین عواقب این پاندمی در امان بوده‌اند.
تعداد موارد ابتلای جدید در ایالات‌متحده و فلوریدا در چند هفته گذشته به‌آرامی رو به کاهش بوده است اما همچنان علتی برای ایجاد رنج در افراد مبتلا شده و خانواده‌هایشان است. همچنان افراد بسیار زیادی از تزریق واکسن طفره می‌روند که خود سوختی برای بستری‌ها و مرگ‌ها خواهد بود.

Dear Hossein, 

 What remarkable news you send on Congress 60 now having 84 branches and a membership of more than 110,000. That is a wonderful achievement that will reap untold gifts for so many seeking recovery from addiction. Also of great significance is that this growth is coming in great part by donations from members whose lives have been transformed within Congress 60. The new title of hero is quite apt. I wish the very best for the forthcoming golrizan ceremony.

Please do send along the paper on the use of the DST method in the treatment of cancer. I am following all cancer research quite closely these days due to Alisha’s ongoing treatment for breast cancer.

Thank you for your responses to my questions on the roles of Guides and Co-Guides.  I will incorporate this information into the latest blog I am writing on Congress 60. I hope to have a draft for you to review in October. Once we have refined the draft, I will post it on my website and make it available for reposting by recovery community organizations in the U.S. and in other countries.

Next week is the twentieth anniversary of a “recovery summit” that was held in St. Paul, Minnesota in the U.S. that marked the launch of a recovery advocacy movement in the U.S. the anniversary event was forced to a virtual format due to COVID and I have been preparing a presentation for the opening keynote address for that meeting. I’ve also been volunteering as a consultant on a few recovery research projects. Other than that, I have been focused on offering my daughter what support I can as she proceeds with her cancer treatment.

I am delighted to hear that the response of Congress 60 to the COVID pandemic continues to be such a positive one and that members of Congress 60 are escaping the worst of this pandemic. Numbers of new cases are slowing decreasing in the U.S. and in Florida in the past few weeks, but are still inflicting great suffering on those affected and their families. And we still have far too many people who refuse to be vaccinated, which is fueling the hospitalizations and deaths.

Please extend my warmest regards to your family and to all members of Congress 60.
