Thank you for your thoughtful responses to my questions. The two week holiday signals a maturation within the Congress 60 community and your wisdom in letting the rituals evolve as the community gets larger and stronger.
Do keep me posted on the use of the DST method with other medical conditions. I find this quite fascinating, and, of course, you know of my deep personal interest in new approaches to the treatment of Alzheimer’s. My sister who is suffering from this condition arrives today with her husband for a week’s visit. I have not seen her since last year so am eager to see how she is doing.
Please extend my congratulations to the co-guides who were most successful in the quality of their exams. Evaluating all of those must have been a most difficult task for you.
I was recently thinking about members of Congress 60 visiting you and I wondered if there were opportunities for all members to gather as a whole community. Given the growth and present size of Congress 60, I would guess that would be difficult, but what an experience it would be to see this whole community meeting together in fellowship and gratitude.
I have been busy these last few weeks interviewing some of the modern pioneers of addiction treatment in the U.S. I have hopes of doing a total of 25 interviews this year. Many of these leaders are aging, like myself, and I want to reach them to do an interview while their memories are still exact. I recently interview two of the psychiatrists who led the advocacy effort for an addiction psychiatry specialization certification. I also have been interviewing some of the leaders who called attention to the needs of children affected by addiction in their families. Those interviews I am finding particularly interesting.
My communication will be sparse for a period given my sister’s visit and my travel for the memorial service for Ernie Kurtz right after my sister leaves.

I hope you are fine, I am well. Holidays passed well, I forced everybody specially those who are serving at Congress 60 to go on holidays for 2 weeks and be with their families. I allocated my first week of holidays to visitors from different branches and the second week to evaluating the co-guide exam papers.
You have asked two key questions in our last communication which I will try to answer best.
1. What is the occasion for the closing of the branches for two weeks?
The first reason is that the whole country of Iran is at holidays at the beginning two weeks of Noruz.
Secondly, parents won’t let their infant to go to streets alone but when their child is grown enough both physically and mentally this child must, must, must learn how to go out alone. I think this child which is called Congress 60 is grown enough and the knowledge level is high enough so that we can present the medication of those who are under treatment to them (for two weeks) and tell them that they may go wherever they desire.
Dear friend, I know that this kind of holiday is doable at Congress 60 because of its treatment method and we can’t replicate this at NA or AA or similar organizations.
And about the second question:
Do continue to share your experience with the use of the DST method in treating other diseases
This question was a question which I was waiting for it for years. Because from the first day that we met you had a great love and passion towards prolonged recovery and you were interested in Congress 60’s recovery programs like sports, camping, art, worldview, valleys, existence philosophy, system management and etc. because I am not a physician or a psychiatrist you believed that I was capable in human recovery which I appreciate and grateful. But let me say that the prime aspect that made me capable of establishing and programing Congress 60 was the DST method and OT (opium tincture) which has cleared the basis of my theory on addiction and other diseases.
Dear Bill, the X theory, the DST method and the OT will open new gates not only on addiction treatment but to the medicine world, so that they may curb and cure incurable diseases using a new viewpoint. I am delighted that you are showing interest in medicine aspects of the DST method. Please do read the X theory fully in order to find the key of addiction treatment in Congress 60 and to find the key to cure many other diseases. I am ready to answer any question that you may have on this issue.
As you know we have smoking cessation legion (William White legion), overweight treatment legion (Jones legion) and physician’s legion. And I must mentions that we have another “research legion” which its focus is on other diseases treatment and this legion is consisted of specialist and physicians whom are using the DST method and the OT to cure other diseases.
We have two Alzheimer patients and they are around 60 years old, it is now 6 months that we have started their treatment with OT. Their Alzheimer was so advanced that they used to forget everything and they couldn't even attend our classes which is held one day in period of 15 days. In this six months that they are being treated not only their Alzheimer is curbed but their general health status has improved greatly.
Treatment period for diseases like this is 22 months. 11 months is used to replace their medication with OT and another 11 months to taper off the OT to zero.
