Communications of Hossein and Bill

Dear Hossein,

The growth of Congress 60 warms my heart at the same time it concerns me of of the stain that must exert on you.  But the lives touched make all of that strain worthwhile.

I have questions related to the use of DST method with alcoholism.  Due you believe OT is a better choice in transitioning the person into recovery than tapering with alcohol?  I have not seen the latter be effective here in the U.S. for two reasons.  One, continued alcohol use in any form is not possible due to the many alcohol-related diseases patients present with.  Second, even small amounts of alcohol tend to trigger binge drinking and disengagment from treatment participation.  I would like to hear your experience with this.  My sense is that OT would be the superior choice, although critics here in the U.S. would aruge that it will likely lead to opiate addiction among those being treated for alcoholism. I look forward to your thoughts on this.

I have finished the book on the history of addiction counseling and am looking forward to some rest and relaxation in the coming weeks.  As you know, the writing process on such an intense and sustained basis can be quite draining.  Tomorrow I am taking a day off to go to the beach with Rita.

Friends and Brothers Forever,

Bill

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear Bill,

I hope you are fine, I am well. I am so delighted that our discussion after several years has reached alcoholism recovery which is a major problem in societies. Until now in my idea there was not a reasonable solution to this problem. Before answering your questions on alcoholism, maybe it is interesting or debatable to say that in addiction treatment field I have reached a point in which sometimes my ideas are completely against addiction professionals ideas.

Meanwhile, Dr. Daneshmand had a minor problem and next week filling questionnaires will continue as before.

Now let me answer those question of yours in turn:

First question:

Do you believe OT is a better choice in transitioning the person into recovery than tapering with alcohol?

Answer:

Yes I do. I believe the most suitable choice for alcoholism treatment for today world and even next centuries is OT with the D.S.T method. Therefore using OT for alcoholism is much better than alcohol itself and even other drugs.

Second question:

I have not seen the latter be effective here in the U.S. for two reasons.  One, continued alcohol use in any form is not possible due to the many alcohol-related diseases patients present with.

Answer:

Maybe using alcohol in alcoholism treatment will not be possible due to alcohol-related diseases in some cases, but I think in most of the cases (maybe up to 90 percent) it will be possible. Another thing is that a person who is using alcohol constantly and all of his body cells are completely dependent on alcohols is like a car which is moving with a high speed and we want to stop this car by putting an obstacle in front of this car!

I believe, in most cases sudden withdrawal of using alcohols will create a malicious physiological shock to the nervous system of the body and also to the psyche of the alcoholic person and even the immunity system of his body will face major issues. This will increase the chance of occurring diseases and even early death.

Of course, NA members and other professionals would say that it is not possible to control alcohol use. Regardless I do believe if we teach people properly and we use a correct and scientific method; then this will be possible. Basically, the D.S.T method is all about controlling the narcotics and alcohol using until the person reaches the end of line or completion of treatment.

Third question:

Second, even small amounts of alcohol tend to trigger binge drinking and disengagement from treatment participation.

Answer:

We have people in Congress 60 who were using opium and we tapered their usage with the D.S.T method and we didn’t face any problems. Thousands of people has been treated with this method.

Dear friends, even in this issue my opinion is against others and I see this issue from a different perspective, for instance: imagine a drug abuser is living with his family, and all members of this family are drug abusers. The theory of NA or AA or other professionals is that if we are to treat this person we must separate him from his family, regardless I do believe that this individual must stay with the family and treat his addiction simultaneously. In other words initially the person should learn how to use correctly based on the D.S.T method and then he must learn how not to use or how to stop.

For example we have many female drug abusers who were using narcotics with their husbands and now they have been treated and they are guides within Congress 60, while their husbands are still drug abusers. The family is still family and is not destroyed.

Question:

Critics here in the U.S. would argue that it will likely lead to opiate addiction among those being treated for alcoholism

Answer:

In today world there is not a drug which doesn’t cause dependency if we use it for a long time (more than one year and daily). Methadone, buprenorphine, sleeping pills and anti-depression pills will not result in dependency and addiction with a prolonged use?

I believe opium addiction is better than methadone and alcohols addiction.

We have treated at least more than 2000 people, whom were meth, hash, MDMA or alcohol abusers with opium and OT and the D.S.T method. This road has been successful with tremendous results.

At the end I must say that an opium user has a better balance in compare to an alcoholic or meth user or even a person who uses variety of pills.

An opium user will do less harm to himself and his family and the society compare to an alcoholic.

Dear Bill, I hope that I have provided enough explanation, I am trying to answer briefly of course. I tried to summarize several times and it couldn’t become less than this.

I believe that OT with the D.S.T method is effective for any kind of addiction.

And even according to the X theory, the D.S.T method could be used to treat some physiological and psychological diseases.

Friends and brothers on heaven and earth forever

Hossein
