I received word yesterday from the Editor of Alcoholism Treatment Quarterly that our paper on Congress 60 has been accepted for publication in that journal. The Alcoholism Treatment Quarterly is one of the older peer-reviewed addiction science journals in the U.S. In the past decade, it has expanded its scope to address all addictions, has taken on a greater recovery-orientation and has also begun to publish papers from the international research community. The editor is considering changing the name of the journal to the Journal of Addiction Treatment and Recovery. Alcoholism Treatment Quarterly is very well-indexed so anyone searching addiction treatment in Iran in the future will locate our article. I am very pleased with this milestone in our work. I will keep you posted on when the article will appear and make sure you get copies of the journal when that issue is released. I expect the article will be published in late 2014 or early 2015.
Now that we have our first article in press, we can turn out attention later this year to writing up the results of our smoking cessation study. I look forward to working with you on this.
