OT coordination meeting was held at Talaghany Park with the presence of clinic’s doctors who are providing OT, and presence of doctor Mokri(man in charge of OT project) and doctor nabaie.
Firstly Mr.Dejzakam said: we are all doing a common job and our goal for holding this meeting is to know each other in order to help each other, and to transfer our experiences to each other, and to solve issues we may have in implementation this project (OT plan) with doctor Mokri who is in charge of this project.
We took a good result implementing this project and now we have almost 2000 patients on OT project; my goal is to gather every 2 or 3 months in order to solve issues we may have about this project together.
Then audiences were introduced, and doctor Mokri continued: I am totally agree with Mr.Dejzakam holding this session at Talaghany Park, because basis of this model is to fill the leisure time and to provide social network beside medical treatment. In recent psychology we believe first we must halter drugs and then we must provide social networks for patients in order to build interpersonal relations.
I’ve heard from Mr.Dejzakam, that this project is been implementing about 6 months now and many patients are being treated with this model.
Mr.Dejzakam continued: if we could provide a correct model and treatment for drug consumers they will be cured mostly and this place (Talaghany Park) is our exercitation place, travelers and traveler’s companions from all cities and eparchies gather here on Fridays in order to participate in sport activities.
We have several sport leagues in Congress 60 such as: football, volleyball and etc. each league takes about 8 months, we have around 40 football teams, 30 volleyball teams, 90 landscape archers, around 10 sport coaches, and we have started wrestling league recently and around 70 persons has registered for it. We have many sport activities for traveler’s companions as well.
Doctor Mokri continued: I believe this pattern is perfect, because it includes rehabilitation, social networks and interpersonal relations and etc which are unique around the world. This system needs mighty management, when I saw doctor Nabaie here I became calm for his ability to figure out which areas needs amplification and to find drawbacks.
We have rehabilitation centers in most parts of the world but they won’t cooperate with doctors, they won’t use medications, drug consumers must take the pain for lack of medications, and they do not take responsibility for physiology of drug consumers, on the other hand there are clinics providing Methadone and the drug consumer will be free for the rest of the day until his next dosage.
Doctor Nabaie continues: I am trying to get involved in Congress60 because Mr.Dejzakam said each member must choose a sport activity and get involved. I have been researching on addiction problem since 1975 and I felt responsibility over this issue, OT project is working well in Congress 60 and patients are getting treated quickly, and any revived addict is becoming a reason for another addict to join in, and I hope I would be able to assist this project.
Session continued with questions and answers and all the audiences talked about their point of views and session was ended at 10 am, audiences went on a tour about sport activities of congress 60 at Talaghany Park.
