The seventh valley and its effect on me

The ninth session of 58^th round of the Academy Branch Workshops was held on March, eighth 2017 at 11 a.m., this meeting was held by Mr. Dezhakam as the master and Mr. Mahdi as the secretary and the weekly agenda was “The seventh valley and its effect on me”.

Hello friends, I am Hossein, a traveler. I am well and hope you are well. With the favour of God, we have regularly held the meetings in this year (1395: 2016-2017) and this is our last session in this year. You have all the days off in Norouz (the Iranian new year holiday); however, I will be here for the Norouz visits on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. I am here with much pleasure to meet you. This year was a fruitful year for Congress60 and we achieved good results. We prevented establishing new branches of Congress60.  We further prevented establishing new legions, because the quality of what we do is important to us, we should have control over our work. We have such an integration in Congress60 that we have not in any other organization. The instructions in Academy branch are the same as in other branches. Academy branch is not better that other branches, because we have the same instructions for all the branches in Iran.

One of the valuable things in this year was planting trees (on Arbor day). It was extraordinary. I want to thank those (80 to 90 members) who managed the planting ceremony. Planting trees was a very great movement. In my communications with Professor White, I wanted him to help us globalize this action and he can do that. This means that those who were engaged on addiction and now they have cured their addiction try to compensate for the damages they incurred (to the environment). To make a healthy environment, each person can be required to plant a tree.

Amin has mentioned that each tree  provides oxygen for two persons. It receives  carbon dioxide and produces oxygen. One of our achievements in this regard was that we are cooperating with other organizations. Forestry organization did know us completely. It was interesting to them that we have such a potential in Congress60. We have signed a memorandum to give us 50 hectares of land to plant trees in and irrigate them.

Many officials participated in the ceremony in other towns and cities and this will have significant effects on the process of addiction treatment. When the political deputy and the secretary of the Coordinating Council for Drug Control attended our ceremony, they realised that addicts are not dirty and homeless. Their attitudes change towards addiction and recovery and understand that we should not pour the addicts into the sea.

This work had significant effects, in Ahvaz,  planting trees works against dust. In some other places, they replanted the trees.

Today's valley is very very effective and one of the important keys; however, we say the same for each valley. The seventh valley reads that " The mystery and secret in discovering the truth lies in two factors: finding the right path and what we derive from it." It means that if we want to do anything, you must know its way. We have been successful in Congress60, because we have found the way (to treat addiction). We found all the details of addiction treatment. The second part of this valley is what we derive from it. Sometimes, we do not know how to tell someone something. We do not know how not to sting people. Some people are impolite and insult people while speaking. On the other hand, you should know how to love people. You should know how to express your love, your kindness and your respect. You must know its path. You should know whom you help and how.

When you want to help people, you may claim that the first important factor is to have money; however, the last point is money. The first point is to find the way through which you want to help people. Financial resources will be provided, but you have to decide whom you help. We should make sure whether the money we devote to the poor, will be received by them or not.

Annually, we cook food for Ashoura and Ramadan ceremonies; however, the most difficult part is how to distribute food among people. Cooking and making the food ready are very simple, while the process of food distribution is very difficult. First, we should find the way, then, we have to know if we have used the way correctly. The DST method has existed, do we get healthy using it?

Annually, we have a message. The last year message was to provide money for Congress60. This year is devoted to standardization of duration of the DST method. The time lapse for the DST method is 10 to 11 months. For those who consume psychiatric pills, this may be three months longer. It means that the eventual time limit will be 14 months. When a standard10-month travel gets longer and takes 17 months of treatment, it loses its efficiency. If the treatment duration takes 16 months, it has lost 70% of its efficiency. The amazing point is that when the treatment duration increases, it has reverse outcomes. It is just like a fruit on the tree. When it becomes ripe, it should be harvested in due course, not before or after that. If we do not harvest the ripe fruit, they go rotten. The same happens for a longer travel. When someone is decreasing his treatment steps, their physiological body will receive a mild shock. It was said in the past that when a child cries, they will be fed. If the baby does not cry, they will not receive milk. When you decrease a step, in the first days, their sleep will be disturbed a little, while in the second and third weeks, they can sleep better. These shocks must be received regularly and continuously. Therefore, if we want to extend the travel time, it will result in destructive outcomes. I want to work on the standardization of the treatment duration in the new year. If we have 10-month travelling, we will have more number of liberations. Those who travel within 10 months are fresher and I get very happy. Therefore, the message for the new solar year of 1396 (2017-2018) is the standardization of the treatment duration. Do not worry. Do not be violent to your pupils. But, do not be sentimentally kind.

Another important thing is to train your pupils to be polite. If you go to the planting tress ceremony, they should be trained enough not to nag in case of having lunch a little bit late. They should not object for this. We honour this curtsey. I can be with a polite addict and I can never tolerate and live with an impolite freed man (one who is liberated from addiction) for even five minutes. It is unworthy if you have the best type of  knowledge and you are impolite. The only thing that has kept Congress60 is its curtsey. Every day, we (200 members of Congress60) go to Shiroudi pool and during these 15 years we have had no problems. In other times, the rescue team have many problems dealing with people who are swimming there. That is our achievement due to our curtsey and politesse.
