Congress 60’s men have won their first gold cup in Iran’s Sevens Rugby which was held in Kerman.
This tournament started on Thursday October 20, 2016 at 9:00 A.M. with 8 teams from all around the country.
Congress 60 went perfect in its first match in front of the host (Kerman’s team) and they won this game decisively 49-0
In the second match between Congress 60 and Persian Gulf’s Rugby team (which was a very one-sided game)
Congress 60’s player could gain 31 and 28 points in the first and second haves respectively. Finally our team won this game 59-0.
In the following, Congress 60 defeated two next games to advance to final against Shiraz’ Guys team which is one of the best team in Iran.
Eventually, Congress 60 could also defeat the Shiraz’ Guy team in a breathtaking game 29-19 to become the champion of this series Rugby Sevens tournament.
