Physicians' Legion, 20 August 2016

 Physicians' Legion, 20 August 2016

The ninth session of the physicians' legion was held on 22 August 2016 at 8 a.m. It was held under the supervision of Master Dezhakam. Dr. Naader was the master of the ceremony and Ms. Shiva acted as the secretary.

The master of the ceremony started his speech in this way:

This agenda seems to be a simple one, however, it is a very important issue and it is one of the bases of Congress60. In the very beginning of each session, we are silent for 14 seconds so that the Lord harbor us against our ignorance. This shows the importance of this agenda.

The agendas in Congress60 are "applied issues" (which means that they must be applied in our daily life, if we are to have a peaceful life). If we want to judge something, as Master Dezhakam asserts, we have to have enough information gained from the two parties (involved in the case), further, we have to have worldview, time and correct attitude.

It was mentioned that if we are to judge any cases, we need enough information and knowledge. As we were created as human being, we were given authority to have the ability to judge our own work. But, if we have not enough information about a case, a mistake will happen. Therefore, we cannot judge external issues, (but we are able to judge our own affairs).

Addiction is a widespread disease, however, with Congress60's instructions and DST method, the body is reconstructed. When human being was created, he was given the authority to choose the right or wrong path. Each has its own tree of growth and one is free to select each of them. We can get into a well via a rope and we can get out of that with the same rope. But this is up to the person (s/he is free to choose between them).

Dr. Ardeshir: if we consider judgment as a normal behavior, we have to pass it to achieve a peaceful life. If I judge a person, I am experiencing ignorance. If I do not like a person, I will come to the point that s/he is a useless person and we make justifications for our claim so that we enjoy peace, but the point is that we never experience peace, because judgement has its roots in ignorance and lack of knowledge. If I misunderstand a person's behavours, I will judge him/her wrong. Master Dezhakam has mentioned that human being is created with the power of judgement. Because in the very beginning he should himself in the eyes of others. Therefore, it is natural to judge others to gain peace. However, when one is acquiring knowledge, s/he will gain a peaceful life without degrading and condemning others.

Dr. Reza: human beings can pass wanted or unwanted judgements on people's behaviours. Human beings have had this trait from their birth. But, judgement is a very difficult job and many people may say that only the Lord owns the position of Judgement. Blind judgment lacks light (knowledge) but in Congress 60, when a person gains knowledge and comes upper and upper, there will be a light which lightens the path and helps you judge correctly.

Dr. Fereshte: when we are born, we have a new mind and lots of ignorance. As we grow up, we learn the issues of life and we decrease our ignorance. We can only judge our own behaviours. We may judge ourselves wrongly, therefore, how is it possible to judge others correctly?

Dr. Shiva: As master Dezhakam asserts the triangle of judgement has  three sides: the judge, the document and the verdict. The judge has passed many years of education and s/he has lots of studies and experiences. He put all of these together to come to the final verdict. But, we judge whatever around us and if we judge them without enough knowledge, we will not receive a good result. Even if we have enough information, we are not allowed to judge people.

Dr. Samad: the absolute judge is the Lord, since he has indefinite information. Judgement needs much knowledge. When an ignorant person judges, s/he will make a lot of mistakes  and limitations for himself/herself or others. To make judgemnets on the DST method, one needs time, as time wears on, the pupil can sense the differences and have a better judgement on the situation. Judgement needs knowledge and knowledge needs experience (in addition to thinking). When a person enters Congress60, s/he is not allowed to participate in the discussion for the first three sessions or to get married or buy and sell anything in their first travel. When s/he reaches the appropriate level of knowledge, and when s/he gets more experienced, s/he can make correct judgments.

Dr. AliAkbar: this is the first time, I am attending here. I have been working on addiction treatment for 11 years, and when I got acquainted with Congress60, I found out that Congress60 was becoming a sea.

Judgement and ignorance are two traits of human beings. Human being is born with ignorance and s/he must judge in order to find his/her own way. As s/he is moving his path, his/her judgements will change as the darkness coverts into light. Since a person's knowledge is changing, his/her judgement will change.  It is also the same for addiction. When we firstly entered this job (addiction treatment), we judged different ways of treatment. However, now we come to the point that we are not able to judge others, because our knowledge is not enough.

Dr. Jahanfar: first of all, we have to find out where "judgement" is formed. We have to think anatomically because we are physicians. We have to find the place of judgement in the body. We all know that we have hidden and transparent sections in ourselves. Judgement's place is unknown to us because judgement is not seeable. Therefore, judgement is a complex and complicated psychological system which uses different tools to  judge a case. In many cases, we judge wrongly,  because we have not enough knowledge. We have not a scale for judging.

Masood: we all know that judgement is a very difficult job, if we have not enough knowledge. In the society, addict's family, who were the main reason for his addition, condemn and degrade the addict for his addiction, this shows that they are judging him wrongly. When a person is treated, s/he becomes healthy, therefore, no one is allowed to judge him after treatment. If we have enough information and know the drug-abuser after treatment, we cannot judge him/her on the basis of our previous experiences.

Dr. Ghazal: I have judged a person on the basis of my previous recognition and knowledge. I had a patient who had dropped addiction many years ago, but I did not accept him as a patient, because I had not enough information. But at the present time, I know that I am not able to judge others without enough information.

Master Dezhakam: the physicians must eagerly be active in their clinics. It is important to establish legions in each clinic.

For any work, we need to consider time, after planting a seed, we have to protect and irrigate it. Then, in near future, we will harvest crops.  Therefore, to have a better situation, it is better for the physicians (regardless of their treatment method: Methadone or Opium Tincture) to attend this legion and be given the Flower of Redemption. Legions have been established in some clinics and you can see its achievements (those who are treated). The clinics must believe that the addicts can completely be treated in terms of thinking style and thoughts. The treated traveller experiences balance better than other people in the society.

At the end, we celebrated the redemption of two travellers, who were treated by DST method. These two travellers were treated in the clinics. The physicians and the travellers have been given the Flower of Redemption (from addiction) by Master Dezhakam.
