Physician Legion July 15, 2016

The sixth session of the ninth round of Physician Legion in Taleqani Park was held by Mr. Dezhakam as the master of ceremony and guest speaker, and Ms Atousa as the temporary secretary with the agenda of “the Eleventh Valley” on July 15, 2016 at 8 o’clock.

Mr. Dezhakam:

This year we have the first official summer holidays of Congress 60 (from July 29 to August 5). All of Congress 60’s branches are closed without exception. Congress 60 was chosen as the best NGO in the country and was appreciated in 3 different parts. Banquet ceremonies were held in all Congress 60’s branches during Ramadhan and this indicates how an NGO can be of high significance. We have about 45 branches, each holds 4 sessions in a week (three for travelers and one for companions).  It was calculated that the average number of those attending banquet ceremonies in different branches is about 300 people. Therefore each branch holds banquet ceremonies for about 1200 people in a week and 5000 dishes in a month. If each dish costs 4000 tomans (about $ 1.11), a sum of 900 million tomans (about $ 250,000) has been spent. This amount of money is payable for an organization which has reached balance.

Common treatments in the world just target the visible symptoms whereas we need to help the sick to achieve a level of relative euphoria and balance. For example, if an addict has diarrhea, the focus will just be on the problem and not other symptoms. The main purpose of addiction treatment should concentrate on these points. Nowadays it is still tried to carry out programs for gathering addicts and isolate them in a far area for three months. After coming back, they tend to abusing drugs again in a short time. The reason is hidden in non-therapeutic views of authorities toward addiction treatment. The matter which should be paid attention to is neurotransmitters from which the main problem is derived. When an addict has sleep disorders, the reason should be sought in his/her neurological system; or when s/he has sexual disorders with her/his partner after free fall (sudden drug quitting), we should search for the root cause of the problem.

Regarding addicts with different addictions, some special symptoms appear according to the drug they use. We should know the reason for having different symptoms and also know how each narcotic substance influences the person’s neurological system. In my opinion there are other illnesses except addiction which are rooted in the imbalance of neurotransmitters. This is the only reason for individuals’ disabilities in MS. Today Prostate disorders are simply treated in Congress 60 since the illness is rooted in neurological system and DST method directly cures the system. Another significant point which should be noticed is our view toward OT (Opium Tincture). This medicine is more powerful than other drugs and it yields a better recovery.

Some people usually call OT as an addictive drug. You cannot find a pain relief drugs that is not addictive; even the simplest of them, like ibuprofen and similar drugs, will certainly be addictive. OT is prescribed in Congress 60 for a short time and this short duration of using OT will not lead to dependence. What turns Opium into an addictive drug is the culture of addiction. Addiction cannot definitely take place in the absence of its culture.

We cure special illnesses by DST method in Congress 60. The individuals’ view toward OT is medicinal and addiction culture has no place in this method. Therefore, in the end of their travel (treatment period) they cut using OT and successfully put an end to their treatment. DST is not a method for quitting drugs but a treatment method. Its view toward addiction is therapeutic, not temporary quitting drugs by which the goal is just getting the negative answer of the addiction test. Treatment means having proper sleep, not being depressed, not having craving, and having high level of balance. Those who quit drugs cannot simply keep themselves from using drugs again and consequently are anxious and distressed.

In addiction treatment (by DST method)the problem is solved forever. It necessarily needs medicine and is not curable without proper medicine. I will assure you that a meth addict cannot be cured by matrix method. A proper medicine should be prescribed for the person in a special period of time to help his/her neurological system to return to its primary state with no problem. To me OT is the best and most perfect medicine for treatment. I welcome your introducing a better medicine you know. In conclusion, addicts’ problems are summarized in their body, psyche, and way of thinking each of which has the same share; and it cannot be said which one of greater significance. They should be surveyed and cured by the relevant treatment methods to achieve necessary balance.

Dr. Masoud:

The title of the eleventh valley, “all the roaring and gushing springs will ultimately reach the sea and ocean”, is so interesting. Mr. Dezhakam was much inspired by the nature in his treatment process.  We can simulate humans with roaring rivers and gushing springs. Human beings’ path of life is much like roaring rivers along which they face many obstacles and ups and downs. Oceans are modified as the end of the rivers’ path but the question is where the end of human being path is. People can justify their addiction by stating different reasons which are individual-bound, i.e. they are different from one person to another.

Sometimes there are non-addict people but we wish they have been addicts instead and haven’t disturbed others by their deeds. An individual can be misled because of indulgence and wastage which can be found in every field like love, wealth, welfare, etc. The only thing, which avoids people misleading, is walking in the right path of life. We know that we will ultimately reach the sea and ocean if we are in the right path and our roaring and gushing will turn into absolute peace. When individuals are cured in Congress 60, they experience such peace and quiet that was never supposed.

Dr. Shiva:

Whether the people in Congress 60 or us as physicians in clinics will turn into swamp and won’t be able to move and attain our goal that is the same sea and ocean if we stop roaring and gushing.

Dr. Mohammad Ali:

I agree with Mr. Dezhakam as he mentioned that OT is now the most perfect medicine to cure addiction and the results are acceptable. But it should not be forgotten that now the share of OT in addiction treatment is much less throughout our country, Iran, because only Congress 60 and clinics cooperating with it are using OT and DST method. Other clinics are handing in OT to addicts according to their own programs which may lead to bad and even dangerous consequences.

The nice happening is that clinics are treating their own patients by DST method outside Congress 60 and get good results. Thus I’m sure that we will meet a very strong wave in future which will be useful and have good results. We will witness a wonderful and enormous revolution in addiction treatment.

Dr. Reza:

This valley suggests attaining peace with gushing and moving. If we stop moving, we will definitely change into swamp and smell disgusting. The path ending in peace and quiet always includes many ups and downs. Roaring rivers meet hard stones which cannot make them stop going.

Dr. Fereshta:

In my idea, roaring and gushing, reaching the ocean and experiencing peace imply the purpose of the Creation. If difficulties make an individual lose his/her balance and not pass the path, s/he may tend to anti-values which make her/him mislead completely from the right path. Life is passing through these adversities, without which experiencing peace and quiet is impossible. 

Dr. Mohammad:

A matter which is much repeated in Congress 60 is the completion of treatment and the recovery of the neurological system of body by Opium. We switched from methadone to OT in our clinics and the big problem is our shortage of OT. We have referred to different centers and we didn’t receive any answers; it was even said that we shouldn’t receive the sick if we don’t have OT. We will get 50 bottles of OT every month while some clinics get 300 bottles per month. I ask you to find a solution for the problem in order not to have shortage of OT in treatment centers. 

In the end of the session, we celebrated the liberation of two travelers of a clinic who were cured by DST method. The physician, psychologist and travelers of a clinic received the flower of liberation (as the symbol of the libration) from Mr. Dezhakam.
