ابتدا می‌خواهم وضعیت سلامت تمامی اعضای کنگره 60 را بپرسم. عکس‌های زلزله و گزارش‌ها حاکی از مرگ‌ها و مصدومیت در کشور شما غمی سنگین بر قلبم وارد کرد. امیدوارم تمامی اعضا خانواده‌های کنگره 60 سلامت باشند و کشور شما به‌زودی از این فاجعه بهبود یابد.
از روی تجربه در طوفان فلوریدا می‌دانم که ریکاوری از چنین مسائلی زمان زیادی طول می‌کشد اما از طریق این پروسه افراد آن جوامع به هم نزدیک‌تر می‌شوند.
واقعاً امیدوارم به‌زودی کتابم را دریافت کنید. هنوز نمی‌دانم که مشکل از ارسال کتاب چه بود.
ممنونم که مرا در جریان ارتباط با کریس مایر گذاشتید. احتمالاً ارتباطات این‌چنینی در ماه‌های آتی ادامه خواهد داشت. اطلاعات نامه قبلی شما همان خبری بود که برای تکمیل بلاگ درباره قطع سیگار در کنگره 60 نیاز داشتم و عکس‌ها کمک می‌کنند تا بلاگ بهتر نمایش گذاشته شود. تمامی عکس‌ها را دوست دارم و انتخاب تعداد محدود کار سختی خواهد بود.
خرید ساختمان دفتر مرکزی را تبریک می‌گویم. به نظر مکان آن فوق‌العاده است. واقعاً فوق‌العاده است که یک جمعیت ریکاوری که ازنظر مالی مستقل است چه‌کارهایی می‌تواند انجام دهد.
اکنون سؤال‌هایی دیگر دارم:
1- در طی سال‌ها ما بسیار درباره نقش ورزش و دیگر فعالیت‌های مرتبط با آن در کنگره 60 صحبت کرده‌ایم. پتانسیل نقش ورزش و مسابقات ورزشی در ریکاوری از اعتیاد را چگونه جمع‌بندی می‌کنید؟
2- اخیراً کنگره 60 هنر (مانند تئاتر) را نیز وارد پروسه ریکاوری کرده است. ممکن است این موضوع را توصیف کنید و افکارتان درباره آینده این مسئله در کنگره 60 را بیان کنید؟
3- اخلاق خدمت به دیگران به نظر می‌رسد که در سرتاسر کنگره 60 پخش‌شده است. ممکن است لطفاً اهمیت چنین فعالیت‌هایی در پروسه ریکاوری از اعتیاد را بیان کنید؟

Dear Hossein,
First, let me ask about the safety of all members of Congress 60. The images of the earthquake and the reports of lives lost and injured in your country leave me with a heavy heart this morning. I hope all members/families of Congress 60 are safe and that your country will quickly recover from this disaster. I know from our experience of hurricanes here in Florida that such recoveries can take a long time but bring members of affected communities together through that process.
I do hope you receive my new book soon. I remain unsure of what the shipping difficulties were.
Thank you for copying me on the communication with Chris Mayer. Other communications like this will likely follow in the months to come.
The information you provided in your last email was just what I needed to finish the blog on smoking cessation within Congress 60 and the photos will help illustrate the blog. I like all of the photos and it will be difficult to selection the few that can be included.
Congratulations on the purchase of the central office building. It sounds like a perfect location. It is amazing to see what a financially self-sufficient recovery community is able to achieve.
Now, for my next questions to you.
1- Over the years, we have talked a great deal about the role of sports and related activities in Congress 60. How would you summarize the potential role of sport and athletic competition in addiction recovery?
2- More recently, Congress 60 has been involved in integrating the arts (e.g., theatre) into the recovery process. Could you describe this and your thoughts about its future in Congress 60?
3- An ethic of community service seems to pervade Congress 60. Could you describe the importance of such acts within the process of addiction recovery?
